Personal Development
Manor Junior School provides an exceptional personal development provision that not only successfully prepares pupils for the next stage of their education but equips them with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes to thrive in life beyond our school. We consider our community and safeguarding context and teach pupils to reflect on the opportunities that they have to develop through using De Bono’s Hats as our learning philosophy and the innovative use of individual personal development journals.
At MJS, we believe that what makes our personal development so effective is that it is delivered across our curriculum and the school day this means that it is not only highly inclusive but ultimately develops all pupils’ independence and character.
